Adler Hall.
Tucked within the historic Yamacraw Village, Adler Hall stood as a hidden SCAD landmark—physically obscured and visually disconnected from the institution’s dynamic identity. This project reimagines Adler Hall as a site of belonging through culturally-informed wayfinding and environmental storytelling.
Grounded in spatial ethnography and institutional semiotics, the redesign leverages pathfinding strategies to illuminate the creative disciplines housed within. By analyzing student movement, local architectural language, and SCAD’s brand vernacular, the intervention transforms navigation into narrative—making the building not just easier to find, but harder to forget.
